Epson Printer Cartridge

Epson Printer Cartridge

Epson is one of the dominant manufacturers of inkjet printers in the world. Their printers are usually quite affordable and provide quality printing for several years. Epson has also made it a point, in recent years, to improve the quality of their color inkjet printers–making them some of the most desirable, low-cost, color printers on the market.

You can find replacement Epson cartridges as new, compatible, remanufactured, or just refilled. Refilled cartridges can be good as long as the cartridge is not simply refilled over and over again. (Refill kits are often ridiculously affordable.) Reman cartridges have their more delicate pieces replaced before they are refilled, making them a little more durable.

Compatible cartridges are new cartridges, too, just not from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Third-party companies manufacture cartridges to the Epson specifications but they cannot have the Epson name on them. If someone tries to sell you a new compatible but it says Epson on it, you may be getting a remanufactured or refilled cartridge.

Recycling Printer Cartridges

Empty printer cartridges are such hot commodities that many third-party companies (and some OEMs) will buy back your empties in the form of rebates. Some companies will even pay cash for them. Not only is this good for saving landfill space, it is good for your bottom line too. If you go through cartridges at a significant rate, these are some excellent ways to save considerable sums of money.
